European Section of Aldosterone Council ESAC meeting 2025
Corso ECM residenziale da 0 crediti a Roma per Biologo, Medico chirurgo
Descrizione del corso
Aldosterone has become a rapidly emerging focus in medical research due to its vital role in conditions like hypertension, cardiovascular disease and metabolic disorders. Its growing recognition in public health, academia and industry highlights an urgent need for collaboration and innovation. The European Aldosterone Conference has been driving global breakthroughs in aldosterone research, impacting millions of patients affected by hypertension, cardiovascular diseases and metabolic disorders. It is the premier forum for the presentation and discussion of the latest research related to the study of aldosterone, corticosteroids, metabolizing enzymes and receptors in areas such as arterial and pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, atherosclerosis, chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes and obesity. It brings clinical, basic and translational researchers together to discuss the latest research in the field. This meeting is usually held annually. The European Aldosterone Conference community brings together over 80 experts from 10 European countries, representing a diverse network of clinicians, researchers and scientists dedicated to advancing aldosterone and RAAS-related research and clinical practice. The European Aldosterone Conference meeting wll be held on October 17-18, 2025 in Roma, in order to provide the opportunity to meet and network with colleagues from Europe. The conference will feature a State-of-the-Art plenary lecture, senior investigator lectures, free communications in oral and poster sessions, and a Young Investigators Award Program. The main topic of the meeting is to discuss novel indications (e.g. diabetic kidney disease, metabolic diseases) and pharmacological approaches (e.g. recently approved non-steroidal MRA, aldosterone synthase inhibitors, incretins, SGLT2 inhibitors) for therapeutic targeting of the mineralocorticoid receptor (see program draft attached) or different sites of the RAAS. The meeting covers the full spectrum from basic science to clinical application.
